Over the years different sports in Pakistan have seen their golden days. Trends might have changed but one thing remains unchanged and that is the love of the Pakistani nation for sports. Jinnah Sports Stadium (Islamabad)
Jinnah Sports Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Islamabad. It has both the facilities of indoor and outdoor games including athletics. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium has a capacity of 48,000 people and is the largest stadium in Pakistan. This stadium was built in the 1970s. The stadium was renovated and used for the SAF Games in 2004. The playing field also has a running track around its perimeter allowing athletics use.
Abdul Sattar Edhi Hockey Stadium (Karachi)
The stadium was constructed in 1963 under the administration of Karachi Cantonment Board. It was leased to Pakistan Hockey Federation for a period of 30 years, which ended in 1993. The lease was renewed for another 30 years, till 2023. However, the structure has been declared as dangerous by the Karachi Cantonment Board and Sindh Building Control Authority.
In July 2022, plans were announced to renovate the stadium by the Pakistan Hockey Federation and the Government of Sindh. Frontier Works Organization has been contracted to conduct the work at a budget of Rs. 1.5 billion. The project is stated to include the installation of seats, indoor gyms, swimming pools, boys’ hostel, and changing rooms.
The stadium has hosted matches of the 1980, 1981, 1983, 1984, 1986, and 1992 editions of the Champions Trophy. The stadium has a capacity of 30,000 people. However, the International Hockey Federation stripped it of its international status in 2008 since it no longer had a practice pitch and a parking lot. Two editions of National Games of Pakistan have taken place here.
Qaddafi Stadium (Lahore)
Qaddafi stadium, previously known as Lahore Stadium is a cricket stadium in Lahore, Pakistan and the home ground of Lahore Qalandars. It is owned by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). With a capacity of 27,000, it is the fourth largest cricket stadium of Pakistan. Gaddafi Stadium was the first in Pakistan to be equipped with modern floodlights having their own standby power generators. The headquarters of the Pakistan Cricket Board are situated at Gaddafi Stadium, thus making it the home of the Famous Sports Ground in Pakistan.
Multan Cricket Stadium (Multan)
The Multan Cricket Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Multan, Punjab, Pakistan, owned by the Pakistan Cricket Board. The stadium is located off Vehari Road, in the suburbs of Multan. It has a capacity of 30,000. It hosted its first test match in August 2001, when Pakistan faced Bangladesh in the 2001–02 Asian Test Championship.
National Hockey Stadium (Lahore)
National Hockey Stadium is a purpose-built field hockey stadium in Lahore, Pakistan. Located inside the Nishtar Park Sports Complex, it is the biggest field hockey stadium in the world, having a capacity of 45,000 spectators. The offices of Sports Board Punjab and Pakistan Hockey Federation are also located in the stadium compound

National Stadium (Karachi)
The National Stadium also referred to as National Bank Cricket Arena for sponsorship reasons, is a cricket stadium in Karachi, Pakistan, owned by the Pakistan Cricket Board. It is the home ground of Karachi Kings and Karachi’s many other domestic cricket teams. It is the largest cricket stadium in Pakistan with a capacity of 34,228 spectators. It was built in early 1950s under the supervision of senior civil engineer Mr. Abdul Rasheed Khan (WP) and Mr. Kafiluddin (EP), was formally inaugurated in April 1955.
Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium (Rawalpindi)
Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium is a cricket stadium located in DKS Rawalpindi in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It is near to Pir Meher Ali Shah University, Rawalpindi, and Rawalpindi Arts Council, Rawalpindi. The first international match at the stadium was played on 19 January 1992, when Sri Lanka faced Pakistan in an ODI. The stadium hosted its first Test match in 1993, when Zimbabwe were the visitors.
Ayub National Stadium (Quetta)
Ayub National Stadium formerly known as Baluchistan Cricket Association Ground is a multi-purpose stadium in Quetta, Pakistan. It is used for football and Cricket games. The first One Day International (ODI) cricket match between Pakistan and India was held at this ground in 1978.[2] Famous Sports grounds in Pakistan can hold 20,000 people.
Jinnah Stadium (Gujranwala)
The Jinnah Stadium is a multipurpose stadium in Gujranwala, Punjab, Pakistan. It is used mostly for cricket matches. The stadium capacity is 20,000 and hosted its first and only Test match in 1991. Record-breaking Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar made his ODI cricket debut in 1989 at this ground. The last ODI match played there was between Pakistan and Sri Lanka in 2000 and was the first ODI match Aleem Dar umpired.
